telnet: 'show media' problem after some actions

i develop a small program to control the vlc via telnet. it works fine, BUT sometimes forget(or whatever the reason is) the vlc to complete the answer for the command 'show media'!
that´s a disaster 4 me.

i can describe 2 possibilities to provoke this event(is use version 1.1.3)
- i create 2 broadcast channels; the first channel with videos from a network source like \\foo\bar\foobar.mpg and the second with vidoes from my local hdd
- i use the 'save' command to save(haha logical) and after that - i use 'load'

in both situations is the result of the command 'show media' correct but i miss the prompt '>' and the prompt char is for my program the end marker.
the prompt '>' comes back after i press the return key, but what the hell is the problem? is that a bug or a feature?
