Streaming VLC output to a second monitor

Hi,
I have an urgent need to find a media player that
- can play .wmv files and image files in any sequence I desire
- can stream the video and image playback to a second computer montor while I control the speed of playback from controls displayed in the first computer monitor
Can VLC Media Player do both? If not, is there a product you can recommend?
