VLC for iPad and iPad backup speed and size

As previously mentioned, when there are videos in the VLC for iPad library backing up takes any awfully long time. It also greatly increases the size of the backups. The reason is, it's backing up all the videos. That's major overkill in my case, because the originals are still on my hard drive.

Could an option be added to the VLC app to skip backing up all the video files? Such an option is possible; the Zinio magazine app claims to have one.

(Is there a better place to discuss the VLC for iPad app? Applidium doesn't seem to have their own forum, mailing list, or issue tracker.)

Yes, very annoying issue. I have like 20 GB of videos on my ipad, and now my MacBook Pro harddrive is full because all videos is included in the backup as well..
