"Save volume"-checkbox does not work

There is a checkbox which says "Save volume for next session" (i translated that from german to english cause i've got a german interface 
). Unfortunately it does not have the effect it should have. In short: the volume is not saved until the next session. Having the volume at 50%, i close the player and open it again -> 100%. Would you fix that? It's very annoying. Thanks
