VLC plays the sound of a movie but not the image

Hi friends!
Since a long while i´m trying to play movies on Vlc, but til now with no result.
VLC PLAYS THE SOUND PERFECTLY but the image is only black... Just lately i was totally surprised when i played movies with subtitles and the parts where the subtitles were shown the image ran perfectly.But then again the parts with no subtitles remained pitch black.
I have to say as well that i have used VLC since years, and never had had problems with it. It was my favorite till i bought my new computer HPG62
with Windows 7 Home Premium...Intel CORE i3...Sata 640 GB...Resolution 1366x768...ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 1GB.
Most funny thing? If i play the same movies with WINAMP i can see the image but the sound is totaly gone, and related to the subtitles i still don´t know how to watch them on Winamp so i cannot test more.
Last thing! Windows Media Player plays them all perfectly, sound and image.
I know... i could stop using VLC, but as i said it was always my favorite and i would love it to keep being so.
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON MY TROUBLE.

Try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.
Also try to use another video output module.
