Incorrect VLC Icon Upon Play

Something has happened to the VLC icon on my player

When I first installed VLC, before each movie I would play (no matter what format) I would get an icon shaped like a cone flash, then the movie would start. This seemed to be a normal part of VLC. (The icon is the same one that is featured in the favicon in the URL bar)

But now instead of the "cone" icon, I get the cover of a Beatles album. It must be album art from that ablum.

I don't know how this came to substitute in place of the cone icon, but I was wondering if this is a sign something is wrong. It isn't effecting anything, instead of seeing the cone flash when I start the movie, I see the Beatles cover flash.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall VLC but I still get the album cover art and not the "cone" icon.

Anyway to fix this, or should I just forget it?

Thanks

Yes, it always there.

Here's something else. Now when I go to windows explorer and click on a video files, if it's a WMV files, in the lower left corner of explorer I get the the cover art. If it's an avi file, I get the VLC icon that looks like a orange & white traffic cone. And mp4 file also gets me the Beatle's cover in the lower left, instead of the VLC icon.

I think somehow these files are picking up cover art. When I click on properties I can see the ID tag. Normally you only see this on audio files.

Any ideas?

reinstall, reboot, install doesn't help? In general this is mostly a "windows" bug I see once in a while...it gets confused about icons...
