VLC truncates some played music files

There are some tracks on my music CDs that are truncated by VLC, will say: When playing an audio CD with VLC most of the tracks are played completely but some tracks are truncated so the last second is missing and not played.
This is reproducable on Mac OS X 10.6 (latest), Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows XP Professional (each on different hardware). Other players like iTunes or MediaPlayer play the affected tracks completely.
I ripped the CD with Max (Mac) and encoded every track to MP3. Playing these files with VLC results in truncated playback again. Same tracks affected, same parts missing. And playing these files with iTunes or MediaPlayer plays the files completely, too.
So the reason seems not to depend on the hardware or the encoder - is it possible that the waveform irritates VLC?

Example track to reproduce:
CD "The Gray Race" from "Bad Religion", track 13: "Drunk Sincerity"
The CD seems not to have any copy protection and all other tracks on this CD are played well without dropouts.

Any ideas?
Should I create a ticket?

Would you be nice to test VLC media player 1.2.0-git from Nightly Build of VLC ?

Ad acta. Problem seems to be fixed.
Could not reproduce the described behavior with VLC 1.2.0-git-20100010-0003 under Windows XP Pro (CD and MP3 are both well played).

Just for completeness:
The problem occurred on the following configurations:
- VLC 1.0.5 on Windows 7 Enterprise (32bit)
- VLC 1.1.4 on Windows XP Professional (32 bit)
- VLC 1.1.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard (64bit)

Thanks a lot.
This is a bug that is long-lived in VLC. We believe we have mostly fixed it for 1.2.0, but we weren't sure :D
