Apple Remote with VLC on Windows

Hello.
I have an iMac that I am running from time to time in Windows 7. I wonder if it is possible to use my Apple Remote to control VLC 1.1.2 on Windows. I have no problem doing it on Mac OS X but it seems a little more complicated on Windows.
