I want to save a network stream from a password protected website, from which I have a valid login account. The URL doesn't end with an extension, but with "play?video_recording_id=515".
In another topic I read "check the record option", but I do not see a record option on the Open Network-dialog.
Who can help me
(using VLC 1.1.4)

If it's VOD, you should simply save the URL with any download manager.
If it's real-time, you can use the record button on the VLC user interface.
