Does VLC 1.1.0 for iPad support subtitles?

I'm excited to learn that the new version 1.1.0 supports more formats and direct delete. However, it seems that srt files are no longer supported by VLC. Is subtitle not supported in the new version? I do think it is a very important feature!

This should be fixed in another update pretty soon along with controls to disable/enable subtitles.

Hi,

Do you have any idea of the next release date for the iPad ? Not having the subtitles is such annoying ...
Thanks again for your wonderful work.

Hello
I have also vlc app for ipad. But i can't open the subtitles. When is coming the new release? Are you going to fix it in newer version? As a foreign english speaker I'm greatly suffering from understanding English conversations. Is there any way to add subtitles?

Good Luck.
