How to make --sub-fps to work?

Postby Reinhart » 21 Oct 2010 23:01

Hi, I can't use the VLC command "--sub-fps" to correct wrongly timed subtitles (in SubRIP .srt format).

For example I'd like to start VLC with "vlc.exe --sub-fps 25", in order to have a 25 fps video displaying a 23.98 fps subtitles file synchronously.

But it looks like the --sub-fps command doesn't have any effect at all.
How do you use this command?

P.S. This official VLC Wiki entry says it's "--sub-fps <float>". Another official Wiki entry says it's "--sub-fps=<float>". Is the "=" needed?

P.P.S. I am using VLC v1.0.5 (and earlier). In case this command should behave differently in VLC 1.1.x : Unfortunately I can't use this version because of a bug in the VLC Windows version.
