Audio on .3g2 phone video not working

Running VLC 1.1.4 on Win7 Pro 32bit.
The following file was sent to me from my wife's cellphone (Samsung Convoy). The video shows fine but I get no audio.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/415673/1012101156.3g2 (580KB)
VLC shows the audio as being QCELP format, which is listed as being currently supported by VLC.
I used ffmpeg to convert to an MP4 H264 video which played fine in VLC.

Indeed, that is a bug.

VLC reports the audio stream as being stereo while in fact it is mono.

Code: Select all

avcodec warning: Physical channel configuration not set : guessing ... main debug: filter(s) 'f32l'->'f32l' 8800 Hz->8000 Hz Stereo->Stereo

Should I go ahead and enter a bug in the tracking system?

Yes please, do it.
You can also mention in your report that the file is playing fine with FFplay (if you don't know what FFplay is then don't worry, the devs know what it means :) )

Audio channels detection is done wrongly on this sample.
