VLC Media Player for iPad support?

Postby laserheart » 20 Sep 2010 21:35

I realize the iPad app is made by a third party company (or so I assume), but is there a place to get some support and feedback for it?

Or, are these forums going to take that place?

I would really like to see the iPad app use the wireless network to play videos via SMB or another standard networking mechanism.

I was very excited to see the VLC App available for iPad today, very cool!
I would also love to have SMB support as my home media file server is a Windows box and I usually use my iPad in the home, so access to streaming media over WiFi would be a great feature.

Hi there,

I have this avi file with accompanying .idx and .sub files that I tried playing with the VLC app.
But the sound doesn't come out properly, only background music is there without the voice, and the subtitles are not displaying too.
They are named the same as the avi.
Subtitles wise could it be because there is multiple languages in it and there's no way to select which to play thus it plays the default 'no subs'?
Is there any way to fix this on my end?

Cheers~
