Is there any chance of the RSS / Atom feed being updated to support pixel by pixel scrolling rather than character by character? I am looking to play a looping video with sports scores/news headlines via RSS scrolling along the bottom. VLC seems to do what I need, but it's a little rough around the edges. Are there any other application that can do this?

That would involve some major changes to the RSS filter. Patch is welcome.
