Hi!

I have a questions regarding VLC 1.1.3 using windows 7.
How do I turn of the seperate VLC (software YUV SDL output) window? See this screenshot if you dont know what I mean. http://yfrog.com/0hprintrgj
Can someone point me to the exact location in the settings (or shortcut) where I turn this off. I want my videos to just play in the main VLC window.

Thanks in advance!

I too am having trouble with this SDL window. When I play videos when on the desktop it's in the normal window, when I play videos on a playlist when tabbed into a program it instantly tabs me back to the desktop and it has an SDL output window..

I don't see anything in preferences->video related to SDL. I've left output as "default", I don't know if it picks "YUV video output" when the user is tabbed into programs for some reason. Is there any way to stop it from doing so?

Apparently the video output setting is set to "Default", which in your case is the "YUV Video Output".
Change it to "OpenGL Video Output" and you'll be fine.
If you can't find it; Preferences -> Video -> Dropdown menu called "output".

Just for developers attention. Same happened with me ie my Default settings has been changed to "YUV Video Output" although I have not done anything with it. Now as suggested I changed my video output to"OpenGL Video Output" from default and it works. Seems like a bug
