VLC audio lag

After i applied the new updates to VLC the audio lags every 20th second. It is muting the audio very short. The video is tho running fine! I have tried to change the output to directx, but that doesn't work either. I tried to play the video in DIVX and it's running clean with the audio too. How can i fix this so i can play it in VLC?
