Playlist Numbering

Hey guys,
I can't seem to get the playlist to understand the numbering in my files.
Here's a screenshot to better explain: http://i25.tinypic.com/nmb9k2.jpg
Obviously it should be listed 1-13, but it orders the numbers as if they're individual letters or something.
Is there any way to deal with this that doesn't involve renaming every file?

If you right click - sort by - track number - ascending it will order them properly.

Whether vlc remembers that the next time you open who knows - if you add the dir. to the media library and access from there it probably should

The default manner in which vlc adds files when opening a dir. is a bit unclear here -

The same thing happens to me. I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and I often have a playlist of 30+ chapters, each with 8-15 tracks. The problem is not how VLC uploads a playlist randomly, its that when sorted, it doesnt seem to recognize that chapter 1 comes before chapter 10. It seems to think that numbers go 1, 10, 11,12, 2, 3, 4 etc. like a outline- 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2, etc. Its rather annoying since everytime I load a playlist, I have to manually move 2-3 tracks per chapter. Surely this is a bug that can be fixed?
