seek hotkeys do not work on ogg theora files

It does this in VLC on Windows (tried latest 1.1.0) and the vlc in the Ubuntu repositories. I first noticed this a year or so ago and kept thinking this was a bug that would get fixed as ogg theora video encoding is becoming more popular.

I use the seek hotkeys a lot - shift-left, shift-right, ctl-left, and ctl-right - to move back and forward in video files, but these hotkeys do not work in ogg theora video files. I've tried in theora videos I've downloaded from the internet and files I've encoded myself with Thoggen or ffmpeg2theora. Is there any way I can fix the files so this works? Or is this a problem with vlc? If so, can it be fixed? Does anybody know?

Yes there is an erratic behaviour with seek keys and some OGG files.
You should create a ticket on the VLC Trac with a link to a non working file.
