A-B Repeat functionality

Does VLC player have a way to repeat portions of the video stream by marking point A to point B? This function is available in some media players. Was just wondering if it is tucked away in some obscure corner of the GUI or if there is a plug-in available to add this to VLC.

Never mind.. I found it in the menu under View -> Advanced Controls
and the A-B repeat control appears in the window interface above the standard controls. Click once to set point A.. click again to set point B and will loop your media selection. Click once more to clear the selection and stop looping.

To access these controls in Full Screen mode, also enable View -> Fullscreen Interface
The advanced controls are now visible in full screen mode and can be minimized after configuring, by double-clicking anywhere on the displayed video, then maximized by double-clicking again.

Heartfelt thanks to the developers for such an amazing application.

I just want to thank you for posting both the question and - more importantly - the answer to the A-B repeat functionality. While I have used VLC for maybe 2 years now, I never had needed to dig into the menus. Your post helped solve my own A-B repeat question and got me started looking at the capabilities in the menus.

Thanks very much for solving this problem. And especially for posting the answer!

Anyone know how to do this on Mac OS X (10.6.6) and VLC 1.1.6 ?
