Problem using VLC on PC with 2 screens

Hi,

I've been using VLC for a while now and recently downloaded the latest version on a new PC (been using an older version on my laptop).
I've set up my PC with an extra monitor, using 'extended desktop' but every time I start playing a video file with VLC, it pops up in normal size on my main screen, but also in fullscreen size on my secondary screen.

I want to be able to use one screen for other things while watching something on the other but I can't find a way to turn the duplicate screen off, how do I do that?

Greetz,

Nox

hi J-b,

thanks for your reply.

However, I'm not that good with computers, so how exactly do I do that?
the thing I have found is under: extra>preferences(I assume this is what u mean?)> (lower left button) standard settings.
but when I press that and restart VLC and play a media file, it still automaticly starts playing on both screens...

thanks in advance!

Delete %appdata%/vlc folder

And what if I can't find that file anywhere in the VLC folder or any of it's subfolders?

Open Explorer and put %appdata%/vlc as the folder where you want to go.

and if that doesn't work?

When I do this, it says 'wrong parameter'

Windows button + R

In the run window, put :

%appdata%/vlc

and OK
