VLC suppoprt for RFC 3119 compliant streams.

VLC suppoprt for RFC 3119 compliant streams.

Postby sanra » 26 May 2010 14:37

Hi,

I am trying to play a stream that is supposedly rfc 3119 compliant, by

cvlc -vvv rtp://localhost:8912

But nothing happens. No audio is heard. Wireshark shows rtp/udp packets, (though i am not sure if they actually adhere to rfc 3119)

I would like to know if VLC has support for this, nothing is mentioned in source code comments or google searches or in previous posts.

Thanks in Advance,
Sanath.

MPA-ROBUST is a dynamic RTP payload type. You need an SDP if you want to play back such a stream - the IP address and port number is not sufficient.
