DVD won`t play

Have just installed the system plays CD`s ok but put in a DVD and nothing. Can anyone help

Try to open the DVD without menus. Also make sure the DVD zone matches that of your DVD drive.

what exactly happens when you put in a dvd? Do you have your settings to "take no action" when a dvd is put in?

can you be more specific? what kind of file are you trying to play? has it happened before?
