my screencaps keep coming out blue.

ohey. err, i'm new, and i'm getting very annoyed with my vlc. i'm trying to screencap an episode of doctor who so that i can make graphics of matt smith & karen gillan, but the caps keep coming out blue instead of the normal colours. any idea how i can fix this? thank you. |:
