I want vlc media player to handle flv videos embedded inside of video sites like youtube and other vidy sites i've installed the mozilla plugin i'm not too fond of adobe flash player as it uses to many resources. i noticed in tools>Options... in the application tab flv is not listed should i add the file type to the list and is that possible.... or would that just make it open vlc and play the file in there?
i even tried both of these methods below...there has to be a way to make vlc play the video embeded.

vlc is not flash player.

you can provide youtube http URLs to vlc, but you can't replace flash player with vlc.
