Hi, this s the first time i write to th forum, so please be a little patient

I no longer can watch youtube videos on vlc 1.0.5 (on windows vista). It's weird since I was able to do that only a few days ago. I had the same problem in october and this viewtopic.php?f=2&t=66904 was most helpful, but now it does it again! any suggestion?

I am having the same problem. About a month ago, I was able to stream youtube videos just fine using VLC Player. Now I cannot. It is apparent that youtube has upgraded their site recently (to what extent, I have no idea), and I assume that this upgrade has something to do with this problem. When I try to stream a video off of youtube, I get this error:
VLC can't recognize the input's format:
The format of 'http://www.youtube.com/v/h3cnAp0JBIg' cannot be detected. Have a look at the log for details.

O.K. - nobody seems to want to touch this subject, so how about this?

I have a flash video file (*.flv) and VLC player plays it just fine. If I try and convert the file, I get a file in the format I specified and it shows that the file has substance (not = 0 KB), but when I play the converted file, there is no video.
