MRL 'dvd:E:\' and libmpeg2 error.

Hi. I'm trying to play a DVD and when I try to open it in VLC player I get the following error:
File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "dvd:E:\".
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd:E:\'. Check the log for details.
When looking at the message log in more detail it comes up with this:
libmpeg2 error: invalid picture encountered
How can I fix this so this DVD will play? I've tried opening it by going to File -> Open Disk but that doesn't work either.
