stream rtp using vlc

Hello everyone....i am using vlc(0.9.4)

i want to stream rtp ....but how do i achieve this.....

i will tell u first what i did....

this is at server side(of course in player)

Media-->Streaming-->File-->Selected an mp3 File-->stream-->(checked play locally and RTP(mentioned ip and port number)-->in profile selected(mp3)-->stream

now i opened another player and didi the folowing

Media-->Open network stream-->RTP <ip> and port-->play


but here is an error which is as follows

"VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtp://@[<ip addr>]:port'. Check the log for details.

Generic, since you didn't specify your OS. And I would suggest that you upgrade VLC to 1.0.x
