newbe needs help!!!

Postby nessa1234 » 01 Mar 2010 04:51

hello everyone, i was wondering if someone could help me with my dvd play back isssue. now i am very, very new at this so please be patient with me. so i am trying to download my dvds to my hard drive then to portable drive because i am moving out of state and need to store my dvds. i went on wikihow and they recommended dvd fab which worked great and then they said to use VLC player to watch the movies. Now here is my issue... the videos look perfect except they are split into 7 different files and they play in order but there is a break in between each one that is really annoying. now how come you cant watch a movie straight through without any breaks like if you watch it from the dvd on windows player. Thanks for your help. --Vanessa

If you want to play a DVD backup rip, you should either tell VLC to open the whole *.ISO file, or the *.IFO file from the VIDEO_TS directory. If you add every individual *.VOB files to the playlist you'll get the problem you describe.
