unable play WMA 9.1 WMV 9.0 stream - Win XP and Ubuntu 8.10

unable to play the following stream on either Win XP Pro SP3 VLC 1.0.5
or Ubuntu Linux Intrepid 8.10 VLC 0.9.9a. This stream plays fine on Windows Media Player 10
