Specify Ethernet interface to use ?

Hi,

I use VLC on Mac Pro with two Ethernet cards. One of them is connected to Livebox network, and second ethernet card is linked to a Freebox. By default the MacPro uses first ethernet port (and that's cool because Livebox is on fiber so high speed). My problem is I'm no more able to look at freebox TV stations from VLC as by default it uses first Ethernet interface. Is there a way to say at VLC to use by default second Ethernet port ? Didn't find how to do that in documentation :(

Thanks for your help and ideas ;)

Vincèn

Check your operating system documentation on how to configure your IP stack.

Hi Rémi,

Thanks but my goal is not to use the second ethernet port as default, just tell at VLC to use that second port and not first one ! Is there an option in VLC to tell it to use a specific ethernet port when it's running on a computer with multiple ethernet ports ?

Thanks,

Vincèn

You need to configure your routing table appropriately. That's done in the operating system and VLC cannot influence that. Like it or not.
