Got a vob that plays with no sound

hi every one
I got a vob file that plays fine, but with no sound at all.
I'm on a iBook under MacOSX 10.3.7
Under my computer MediaPlayer Classic reports the sound trax as LPCM
With MPlayerOSX the file plays fine with sound, but not under my favourite one: VLC.
It seems VLC sees the trax since it lists it, i tried to play with (advanced) options, without succes.
So does anyone got a fine idea :p
