Hello,

1) I don't understand one thing in prefs : the default settings, because one never knows what's activated by default !!!

for exemple, when you put default in video filters settings, what's the filter applied ????

2) More important : How can I apply several filters in the same time ??? This is not an uncommon situation : as a normal example imagine a user who wants to flip the image upside down (for a videoprojector on the ceiling), AND to deinterlace, AND adjust ...

3) Could you explain me the different deinterlace modes, at least the differences between them ?


4) Last question : what is the "Post-traitement" menu that appears from time to time (when playing divx) ??? It should be labeled a more understandable way

1: no filter is enabled by default. For most other settings, the best setting is detected automatically
2: you cannot, it is one of the major drawback of our current filter system (and something that must be and in the future, will be fixed)
3: no, i never use deinterlace. (but google probably can help out here)
4: Post-Processing. no postprocessing is the fastest. with full postprocessing it does all kind of cool stuff, but you need quite a computer for that usually

The problem I have with deinterlace is not a simple translation issue, I try to know what the different options do precisely, for example :
- what means bob
- what's the difference between mean ans linear
....

Thanx for the link. Then I beleave that the best method I can use in vlc is bob ? And the bob+weave is the next step for you guys ...

Ans still, the "linear" settings has no counterpart ... therefore my question was not stupid.

No question is ever stupid.
But i could find an answer in 2 minutes of googling.
