is there a VLC media Player for Mac OS 9.1

Hi,

VLC media Player is my favorite player of all!
Now I told a friend of mine who uses mac os 9.1 about it.
Unfortunatlly version 0.81 is only for MAC OS X.. Is there an older version which runs under MAC OS 9.1?

and there will never be as stated in the FAQ and various other places.
