I don't want VLC to recognize my BIN or CUE files

How do i reverse and keep VLC from recognizing a bin or cue file?! Of course, i like to use it for movies, but it's taking a recently dl'ed game and recognizing it, preventing daemon tools to even see it, let alone allow me to mount it.
It seems like there would be a setting somewhere, but i can't seem to find it...and i don't know how to take a recognized file and make it say "unknown application" again?! this is aggravating. someone help plllzz. thx.

Rightclick on a bin file, go to file properties, and change the application with which bin files should be opened to daemon tools. do the same with a cue file and voilá. you might want to do that also to iso files.

i tried that, but you can't set an app to daemon tools assuming that daemon will automatically mount it. at least, when i tried it, a window popped up that just said something about ~"wrong path". However, when attempting to mount a file, -- although it would not show up in the 'open file' window -- if i would type in the correct path name it would follow through. So, in the long run, i suppose there isn't anything to worry about in terms of whether or not i'm able to access by cue/bin/iso files. I would just always rather them remain as an 'unknown application'...cause i'm all ocd that way. At first i was a bit concerned, but now i guess i can re-dl vlc without any worries.
