Snapshot size

Why is it when I take a snapshot no matter what size I've set my screen at all my snapshots are the exact same size?
How can I configure it so my snapshot is the exact same size as what I physically see on screen?
I'm using 0.9.9 (no, dont advise me to upgrade as anything above 0.9.9 wont render avi hdtv captures correctly)

AFAIK, the snaphost dimensions are configuration options in the preferences.

i want to know HOW to set size?

As Rémi suggested, in the "Snapshot" section of the "Preferences"=>"Video" window are two boxes labelled "Video snapshot width" and "Video snapshot height". Entering the desired size here works for me.

Why cant anyone give a simple answer.
I just want the snapshot to be whatever the current playback window size is.
I'm not an advanced user, I struggle through the preferences screens at the best of times.
FWIW, no matter what size you set the numbers you advised to change at the screenshot stays the EXACT same size.
I actually set it at the size of my desktop resolution and it still made a 624x352 sized image.
I tested this at 800x600 and 1024x762. Both settings created a 624x352 sized image.
