I do not believe that this is an OS based question.
Some of the movies I watch on VLC have subtitles, I think they are called subtitles, bottom of scree shows everything that is being said in the movie. Same laguage or not. How do I get rid of these?

thanks

Thanks, been there done that. I should have mentioned that in the begining. I also changed around some of the preferences for subtitles
and OSD. Without any real consistancy. I am wondering if they arn't imbedded somehow in the movie itself? Like if the movies is a copy and the original had the subtitles in it the copy may not be able to delete them? (thats a total lot of guessing).
But any help was/is appreciated.

Some subtitles are hardcoded in the movie, you cannot do anything.

Thanks,
One thing I have learned is that if you can't get the subtitles out, changing the color of them makes it easier to deal with while watching (not as noticeable).
