VLC freezes at the end of a video

Hello I'm experiencing a problem with VLC the first actual problem Ive encountered with this player.

My problem is at the end of the video VLC completely freezes up and I have to use task manager to end the VLC process.

This is a peculiar problem as it only happens to me with MKV files (Every other file Ive played works flawlessly) as long as I don't let it run right to the end and stop it before VLC stops VLC wont freeze up on me.

I dont know how useful this information will be but im using the latest version of VLC

As for the MKV file it has 1 video stream inside it and also 3 audio streams inside it. The audio codec used is mp4a according to the codec information and the video codec is avc1.

I dont know if my computer specs are needed but

CPU: Intel i7 860 2.8ghz
RAM: 8GB
Video Card: Radeon 5870
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

Although this is a minor problem this really aggravates me if I forget to shut off VLC before VLC finishes the move file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Known bug awaiting for a fix if your MKV contains several audio tracks:
