problem using frame-by-frame mode

I'm watching a tennis video and it helps to slow it down so I can analyze the stroke.

When I choose to view this video in "frame by mode", after 7 clicks on the 'frame' button my video no longer advances; ie, the video just sits there on the 7th click and I am forced to hit the 'play' button to complete watching the video.

Is there some setting I can modify so I can view my video in "frame by frame" mode for more than 7 clicks?

Thanks,
Dan

Sorry, no, this is a limitation of VLC.

Since frame-by-frame viewing is so important for the tennis & guitar videos that I watch in order to capture technique, is there any plan for VLC to someday increase frame-by-frame viewing beyond 7 clicks?

Thanks,
Dan

Don't use video filters (such as deinterlacing). Then, it works fine.
