Playlist Play Order

Can anyone tell me if its possible to REVERSE the order in which files are played in the playlist. I'm not just talking about dragging and dropping which song is to play next.
For example, in Windows Media Player and other simialr players, when you ADD a file to the playlist, it goes to the BOTTOM of the play list. In VLC it goes to the TOP by Default. While the player plays song from TOP to BOTTOM. Basically I would like to play files in the order in which I put them in the playlist without having to reorder after creating the playlist. Currently, unless you drag the newly added song to the bottom of your playlist, it does not play in the order in which it was added.
This is a GREAT player and for whatever reason this is a minor feature that I can't seem to figure out.
Thanks

Hmm for me VLC does add new files at the end of the playlist.
Anyway, to reverse the playlist you have to make the ID column visible. (Right-click on the playlist table header and tick ID)
Then you can reverse the playlist order by clicking on the ID column header.

I ended here after some reasearch on how to re-order the playlist.
And no matter how hard I try, I'm unable to pop the playlist menu.
I'm using VLC 1.0.3 on Mac OS 10.5.8.
And yes, I do have a right click, but it won't show me something when I click on the playlist header.
Tryed all headers, a lot of key combination with my clicks, nothing.
How do I select the columns of the playlist in Mac OS?
Thanks

VLC dosen't use Qt on Mac OS too?
Anyway, can I specifiy it in some configuration file or anything?
These settings have to be stored somewhere, and maybe editable.

No on Mac OS X VLC uses some Cocoa interface, which is quite outdated and wasn't developed for a long time afaik. You might have heard of it that there is a lack of developers for OS X.
I don't know whether there is a setting for that in the config file, and neither where it is located under OS X.
But you could try to create a playlist file, like a .m3u or a .pls, by hand

Well, my problem is more the playing order of the added tracks than the playlist itself.
I want my tracks to be played by track numbers, not that nearly random order used when I drag a folder on the VLC icon.
If I find something I'll post-it here.
In fact, I'm a Mac OS developper using Qt, too bad I have absolutly no freetime
