.vob and .ts files not recognized by vlc 0.7.0 (mac os x)

since the latest version (0.7.0) of the vlc player i have problems to use my .vob or .ts files. before updating i could simply double click the files and vlx opened them but now a different app opens them like diva or mplayer. i thought that maybe the update of the vl c player scewed up a bit and so i made "get info" on a .vob and .ts files and make sure the app to open is the vlc player. the problem here is that i can't select the vlc player as default application.
i hope that soon a bugfix for this problem is available.
