How to browse DAAP ( firefly, itunes ) shares with VLC

Hello,

I can find lots of info saying VLC does DAAP, but nothing in the docs talks about how to do it.

I've enabled bonjour in playlist service discovery, but can't find any settings to enable DAAP.

I've now got 'Bonjour services' in the playlist box, but it's empty.

Amarok can see the DAAP shares just fine.

Thanks in advance.

VLC 0.8.5 was the last version to support DAAP.

What's everyone use these days to share music then? The servers linux so i need something i can run on there. I've got firefly which works great with many linux clients and iTunes, but i need something on linux that can play to an airport express which VLC does nicely.

It's OK, i've got the apple bit sorted, VLC has a nice RAOP output plugin for the airport express.

What i wan't to know is what people recommend to share music from a linux server to a linux client like VLC. Has to be plug and play discoverable zeroconf type deal. (i.e. not based on mounting network drives and importing files to a local database).
