Howto omit minimizing of player between playlist items

I like to show a couple of short videos in a sequence. This works fine with the playlist, exept that VLC minimizes itself at the end of one video and maximizes itself again at the begining of the next. That makes for a disturbing flickering between videos which I like to prevent.

Is there a way that allows me to prevent VLC from minimizing itself when it jumps from one item of the playlist to the next?

Any helpful suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Frank

This is supposed not to happen in VLC 1.0 anymore.

In vlc1.0, as long as the various items of your playlist are similar (same height, width and chroma), you won't have any such problem.

BUT, if those are heterogeneous items (different size or chroma), vlc resets the vout submodule when transitioning from one item to the next. This results in the behavior you describe and not much can be done at the user level.
