RC interface and MRL streaming

Postby bofr » 30 Nov 2009 13:05

Hello.
I am trying to make vlc stream a file by giving the command trough the RC interface.
So far this is proving to be rather difficult.

add FILE works fine.
add FILE:transcode{.... does not work
add FILE:#transcode{... does not work
add FILE transcode{... does not work
and so on...

I've propably tried a dozen different combination so if it is even possible to add an mrl (with streaming) via the rc-interface then please someone post a functioning example.

I also tried specifying the sout command at the command line and so as to only select the input-file trough the rc-interface. That didn't work either..

kindly bofr
