Hi,

I can use VLC Media Player to stream vcd, dvd from my PC. Then I add a TV card (Liveview FlyVideo 2000).
VLC media play able to recognise the device.
I click "Open Capture Device" and then Click "Refresh list", then I found the device name appear on "Video device name", and then I start to stream, but I have a windows error after I click "OK".

Does anybody try to stream image from capture card? If mine is not supported, is TV card from Pinnacle will work? As nowaday most TV card can show TV and capture video from other source.

Anybody have any idea?

Thanks in advance

The dshow input has only been tested with a limited number of cards. So it's always a bit of a gamble if it works with the card you have.

If you provide detailed messages, then perhaps gibalou can solve the issue. Send those to the vlc-devel mailinglist btw. otherwise he won't see them (he doesn't read the forum too often).

You might try selecting "Device Properties", which will open whatever DirectShow control application the card vendor provides.

For Colorspace, or Chroma, or ... (a few different terms are used), try for "I420" if it is offered. Otherwise, experiment -- try different chromas.

Getting the latest framegrabber drivers from the vendor is very important.

Make sure you have the latest DirectX from MS.
