Problems when using TV Out.

Postby tommyleepark » 13 Nov 2009 16:35

Hello everyone.
I believe this problem belongs in this section, as I think it's not related to windows itself but to VLC. If I am wrong, correct me please, and I am sorry.
I have a computer with a Hercules 3d prophet 4000xt Tv Out. It has both Tv Out and S-Video Out. I am using a cable that connects S-Video out to a RCA input in the television. Everything works fine, and I can actually watch movies and all using VLC player. But, when I use a separate subtitles file (srt or other) something weird happens... The brightness in the screen will change if the subs are apearing or not. When there are subtitles playing, the image is dark, when there are NO sobs, the movie gets brighter. It's a really big difference, so I have to solve this problem. Anyone?
Thanks in advance for your help. =)

Try to deactivate overlay in VLC settings.
