There have been numerous postings about FLV glitches in 1.0.3 that are fixed by downgrading to 1.0.2, but that didn't work for me, so I'm creating a new thread. Sorry if this is actually duplicated... I did search a while first.
I had to drop back to 1.0.0 to fix this; playing an FLV stream (say, http://38.100.141.5/WRKOAMAAC?streamtheworld_user=1 for example) works fine in 1.0.0, but in 1.0.2/1.0.3, VLC just sits there churning without any audio. The messages indicate that VLC recognizes the FLV content, but there are no more messages after that or errors that mean anything to me.
I can re-upgrade to 1.0.3 and collect information if that would be useful, and if someone can indicate what the most helpful info would be. In the meantime, sticking with 1.0.0 is a decent workaround, unless someone can suggest a setting in 1.0.3 that would affect this.
Is there somewhere else I should be reporting this bug?
Thanks,
Mike
