Player size won't stay to what I set it to.

This problem only occurs when I play DVD's with VLC, usually I put a movie on while I chat to some friends, but lately when I change the size of the player so I can see the movie and see what people are saying, everytime the DVD goes to a new scene, the player resets itself to the default size it was set at. So I end up having to manually resize it every 10-15 minutes. It never used to do this, it's only started doing it recently, I don't know if I accidentally hit a button I wasn't suppose to or what happened, but if anyone know how to fix the problem, it would be greatly appriciated.

I have the same problem.

Is there any way to remedy this situation?

I too have this highly annoying problem. In addition to scene changes on DVDs, it also happens when moving to the next item on playlist.

I'm using 1.0.3 on Windows 7 but this also happens on 1.0.2.

In the mean time, while awaiting your answer and for anyone glancing in quickly at this thread
having a general resize issue during different playbacks of TV (video) streams or ordinary video files;
Tools -> Preferences (under Interface Settings [Simple mode] see Interface Type) ->Display Mode
(scroll to) -> "Complete look with information area" (in whatever VLC ver.)
In linux : Tools -> Preferences -> Interface -> Display mode. As advised by mc2man

I would experiment somewhat with unchecking “Resize interface to video size”,
combine or just choose one of them (unchecking, reverting back to Classic look).
You might need different settings for different occasions.
Always quit and restart after made changes. Don’t know about DVD.
