Video On Demand From Streaming

Is it possible to have VOD with stream as a source?

I have no problems setting up VOD for files, but when I set the source to "http://blala.com/test" it doesn't work?

It is possible, but it is generally not a good idea for obvious reliability reasons.

I want to proxy a stream to my phone and I can't see a better way to do it...
