VLC 1.0 What is the USE of Bookmarks

Generally, i can hack through the Menus with VLC but it is difficult as someone seems to re-write the menu options with every release and they move them around. Goggling for an answer is no help as you may find the answer but it is for a different version so the menu is not the same.

When I played a video, I thought the BOOKMARKS was like ALL other bookmarks, you save one, and then later you JUMP to it.

On 1.01, you can CREATE, DELETE a bookmark, and CLOSE, you can not right click it, the only 2 options on the menus for bookmarks only opens the CREATE window. No where can I find a USE for the bookmarks.

my question is:
1. What are VLC bookmarks for as they don't seem to JUMP anywhere nor is there a "jump to bookmark" on the menu, etc.

Is there a way to SAVE a location on a Video and go back to it directly??

Thanks

Agreed. The only functionality of bookmarks seems to add or delete. One can "go to" a bookmark, or be able to trim a video by doing the extract capability of bookmarks. What happened?
v1.0.5
