Hi to everybody.
First a comment to the forum admins: I’m not sure if this is a general issue or a known windows related problem. So if necessary, please transfer this posting to the right forum. Thanks.
The problem: VCL 1.0.2 is unable to play some (more or less new) DVDs like '10’000 BC' or 'Cloverfield'. The files are stored as *.vob files. The video signal is not existent or extremely disturbed with very big wrong coloured pixel blocks. The audio signal is fragmented in parts with sound and silent parts.
That problem is not caused by a slow machine: The Intel extreme I7, 3.2 GHz, 12 GB Ram, NVidia 9800 GT sleeps with some about 2 or 3 percent of its possible computing power. The OS is ms windows xp sp 3 with all actual security downloads.
Other DVD players (like the good old PowerDVD 6 from 2004!) play these DVDs even on a much older xp machine without any problems.
With most other DVDs there are no problems: vcl plays them correctly.
Could anyone help?
